Vitamix is the champion of blender brands. There’s just no question about it. They’re the highest quality, most powerful, and have the best warranty compared to any other brand.

My wife and I own several of their blenders and absolutely love them. We’re Vitamix fanatics.

We recently got the Vitamix Propel 750 – one of the newest models they released and it’s one of the best Vitamix blenders to date.

We’ve been using it for a few months now and wanted to share our opinion. Today I’m sharing our in-depth Vitamix Propel 750 review so that you can decide if it’s worth buying.

Quick Takeaways

  • The Propel 750 is one of our favorite Vitamix blenders
  • Great for high-tech smoothie fans. It has all the technology of the Vitamix A3500, but it’s more usable.
  • Better than the Propel 510, but might not be worth the added cost

Quick Summary: Vitamix Propel 750 Review

The Vitamix Propel 750 is one of the latest models to hit the market by Vitamix. They launched a new Propel series line that includes the Propel 750 and 510. We own both of these and they are our new favorites!

What no other “blender blogger” can tell you…

My wife and I have owned 5 different Vitamix blenders over the years (5200, E310, A3500, Propel 510, and Propel 750). The Propel 750 is a combination of the best other models have to offer.

  • The E310 is great and easy to use, but the plastic feels too cheap to be durable.
  • The A3500 is super high tech, but a bit difficult to use.
  • The legacy models are super ease to use.

The Propel 750 is the perfect blender. It’s got the programmable settings of the 3500 and the simplicity of the E310/legacy lines.

The Vitamix Propel 750 is powerful, comes with a 64oz container, and a 7 year warranty.

The 2.2 HP engine (1600+ watts) is strong enough to blend anything you’d ever want to make. We put it through the ringer with a series of tests. We made green smoothies, protein shakes, ice, and frozen fruit smoothies. I’ll share the specifics below, but the Propel 750 had zero issues making amazing smoothies.

Some people don’t know this, but you can actually make soup in a Vitamix. Dump all of your ingredients in and run it on high speed for 5 minutes. The power from the blender will generate enough heat to make the soup hot!

  • Dishwasher safe – The Vitamix Propel 750 is dishwasher safe! It also has a self cleaning function.
  • Programmable settings – The Propel 750 comes with five programmable settings: smoothies, dips and spreads, hot soups, self cleaning, and frozen desserts.
  • High capacity – The 64 oz container is perfect for making bigger batches of smoothies.

Cons

  • Expensive – The Propel 750 isn’t the most expensive Vitamix, but it’s up there. It’ll run you $550-650.
  • No other cons.

Things We Learned After Testing the Vitamix Propel 750

We’ve been putting our Vitamix Propel 750 to the test the last few months. You can learn a lot by doing research, but some things you can only learn by testing.

These are the kinds of insights you won’t read on the manufacturer’s box.

  1. You should ramp the speed up – The Vitamix 750 comes with a speed dial that you can turn from 1-10. if you want to make the best smoothies, start slow on the speed and ramp it up. If you start it at top speed it won’t work as well and the blades might get stuck.
  2. Great for big batches but not small – The 64oz container is perfect if you’re making bigger batches of smoothies and shakes. Most blenders need to be at least half full to operate well, so it’ll be hard to make single serve smoothies in this container.
  3. Loud – The Vitamix 750 is loud. All Vitamix blenders are loud. They’re louder than NutriBullet’s, but that’s because it’s more powerful. If you want a quieter Vitamix, check out our Vitamix Quiet One review.
  4. Hard to fit – This container is a tall boy at 18 inches. If you want to store it in your cabinets, you definitely need to measure first.
  5. The program settings are cool but you won’t use it much – The Vitamix Propel 750 has the program settings of the A3500. They’re cool, but honestly we don’t use it much. I prefer to blend my own way rather than using the preset. If you like high tech, go with this one.

How Does the Propel 750 Compare to Other Vitamix Blenders?

The Vitamix 750 is one of the newest Vitamix blenders to hit the market and it’s one of their best! It’s got the programmable settings like the Vitamix Ascent series, a 64oz container, and is user friendly like the older Vitamix models.

It’s cheaper than the A3500 with the same functionality. It has the same container size as many of the other models, but it’s on the higher end of the price range.

The Vitamix Propel 750 is perfect for…

  • People who want high tech – If you want a high tech blender, the Propel 750 is the way to go. It has 5 programmable settings to pick from.
  • People who invest in quality – The Propel 750 isn’t cheap. It’ll run you $550-625 depending on sales, but it’s one of the highest quality blenders you can buy. If you want to invest in quality, this one is for you.

Deep Dive: Is the Vitamix Propel 750 Worth Buying?

The Vitamix Propel 750 is comes with all the strengths of the Vitamix brand. High quality, durable, and super effective at blending. I’ll break down the details for each major buying factor and show how the Propel 750 compares to the other Vitamix models.

Power

The Vitamix Propel 750 is loaded with a 2.2 HP engine (1600+ watts) which is more than enough watts to be a good blender.

It’s more powerful than almost every NutriBullet or Ninja blender. The typical Vitamix wattage is either 2 or 2.2 HP.

The power in a Vitamix combined with the steel blades makes them incredibly effective.

Price

Vitamix blenders ain’t cheap, but you likely already know that. The Propel 750 is on the more expensive side compared to other models. The Propel 510 is a bit cheaper and the Vitamix e310 is the most affordable model they have.

Vitamix blenders are expensive because they’re the best in the industry. They last longer than other brands. We owned a NutriBullet, but it only lasted about 18 months.

My wife and I still own the Vitamix we were given when we got married almost 8 years ago. Vitamix blenders are made in the USA which is another reason why Vitamix blenders are worth it.

Buy cheap and you’ll end up buying twice. Get a Vitamix from day one.

Features / Controls

Vitamix Propel 750 base

The Vitamix Propel 750 is the perfect blend of features. It has the simplicity of the older Vitamix models with the programmability of the Ascent series. This blender has five program settings: smoothies, hot soup, self cleaning, dips and spreads, and frozen dessert.

All you’ve gotta do is put your ingredients in and press the button.

The Propel 750 is super versatile so you can use your Vitamix as a food processor. You can even use a Vitamix to grind coffee if you want to make your own coffee at home.

Aesthetics / Size

The overall design of the Vitamix 750 isn’t anything particularly unique compared to other models.

The container is 64 oz which is the biggest Vitamix offers. The only downside of the 64 oz Vitamix containers is that they’re a bit too big to make single servings.

The other potential issue is the height. It’s 18 inches which is taller than most other Vitamix blenders. It’s also heavy at 10+ lbs.

The height can be an issue for many cabinets though! You may have to store it in a larger cabinet or on your counter. Thankfully this isn’t a big deal because it doesn’t take up too much countertop space.

One little known fact about Vitamix containers is that they are perfectly engineered to have a vortex at the bottom. Most other blenders like NutriBullet or Ninja blades will shoot ingredients up towards the top of the container. Vitamix blenders perfectly suction ingredients down towards the blades. This results in smoother smoothies than any other brand.

Cleaning

One of the best features of the Propel 750 is the self cleaning ability. It makes cleaning 10x easier after you’re done blending.

Just put a few drops of dish soap in the blender and fill it up about 1/4 of the way with water. Blend it for 30-60 seconds on high and it’ll be spotless.

The good news is that Vitamix blenders are dishwasher safe as well!

Conclusion: Should You Buy The Vitamix Propel 750?

If you’re looking for a new blender the Vitamix Propel 750 is a fantastic purchase! The Propel series is our new favorite line from Vitamix. They have all the high tech functionality of the Ascent series with the ease of use of the legacy series.

After testing 10+ Vitamix models, this is one of our favorites. The trifecta of power, versatility, and quality make this a great purchase.

If you want a cheaper alternative, check out the Propel 510 or the Vitamix E310.

I hope our Vitamix Propel 750 review was able to help you with your blender-buying decision!
